Passed away peacefully, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Thursday, July 02, 2015. Charles Geisel, age 81 of Bancroft, was the loving husband of the late Geraldine (Gerry) Sully for 54 years. Survived by his children Terry, Brian (Rosemary) Christine Karn all of Kitchener, Mark (Josie) of Ajax and Jody of Bancroft. Survived by his 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law of Peter (Darlene), Bernie (Nigel), Judy (Greg), Carol (Zig), Dolly (Ken), Jim, Verna, Lorraine, and Carleen. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, John and Celestine (Lehman), his brothers Robert, Douglas, John, his brothers-in-law Harold, Wes and Terry, his sisters-in-law Joyce, Theresa, Gloria, Eleanor, and his daughter-in-law Diane, a niece, nephew and great-grandchild. Chuck was a long time employee of Doon Twines (Canada Cordage), The L.C.B.O. and Wigoods Service Station, all in Kitchener. Chuck spent many years as a cub and scout leader, and he loved his trains. Some of his other hobbies were Hunting & Fishing, and his favourite pastime was tinkering and building things. He spent many years at his cottage on the Nith River in Ayr and Denbeigh, ON. Chuck’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth) on Monday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike West officiating. Cremation will follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association or QHC North Hastings Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
