Passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Kingston General Hospital after a lengthy fight with cancer. Joel Lockwood of Eldorado, aged 16 years. Joel was a remarkable young man who deeply loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a student at Centre Hastings Secondary School in Madoc. The grace with which he faced his disease will be remembered by the many who knew and loved him. Loved and missed by his parents Dean and Mary Lockwood. Also missed by his siblings David Neill, Belinda Neill (Jason McCarthy), Amy Neill, Hunter Lockwood, Gracelynn Lockwood, grandmothers, Joyce Lockwood and Kathryn Underhill and grandfather Ralph Underhill. Remembered by uncles Gary Lockwood (Darlene), Rick Lockwood, Dwayne Lockwood (Carolyn), Bam Lockwood (Heather), aunts Gwennie Lockwood, Patty Lockerby (Brent), nephews Christopher, Alexander, J.J. and nieces Winter and Emerald. Friends and relatives may call at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Tabernacle at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Tabernacle. Memorial donations may be made to Centre Hastings Secondary School or Kingston General Hospital as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
