Jeanette Stamplecoski of the township of Hastings Highlands, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by her immediate family at their home in Bancroft, at the age of 71. Jeanette was born on October 22, 1942 in the village of Alice Ontario, the daughter of Michael and Anna Mary Stamplecoski. Jeanette was the loving mother of Joan (Bill) Easton of Bancroft and cherished grandmother (Nana) of Jeffrey of Millbrook, Ryan and Paul of Bancroft, Jenna of Belleville and predeceased by Bradley of Bancroft. Jeanette will also be dearly missed by her siblings, Margaret (Art) Holowachuk of Niagara Falls, Patrick of Sudbury, Albert (Late Diane) of London, Frank (Vi) of Sudbury, John (Wendy) of Peterborough, Wayne (Mabel) of Maynooth, Linda (late Milton) King of Havelock, Anne (late Allen) Fowler of Hybla, Susan (Edward) Whyte of Sudbury and Barbara (Dwayne) Osmond of British Columbia.Jeanette worked and lived most of her life in the Maynooth and Bancroft area, and was co-owner and operator of B.J.’s Restaurant and Bancroft Florist Shop in downtown Bancroft in the 80’s and early 90’s.Funeral Services were entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home in Maynooth, and cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. As requested by Jeanette, a funeral did not take place, but there will be a Celebration of Life in memory of Jeanette held in the Spring of 2014, for her family and friends to honour her life.
