Peacefully, at Extendicare in Haliburton, on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Betty Ferguson, age 83, was the beloved wife of Donald Ferguson of Maynooth. Loving mother of Liana (Gary) MacDuff of Haliburton, Clinton (Maggie) Ferguson of Mountain Grove, and Daniel Ferguson of Thunder Bay. Loved grandmother of Dennis (April), Jeremy, Nathan, Tammy, Jason, Curtis, Jamie, Corey, Lisa and Kevin. Sister of Gail Wilson (Ron) of Mt. Forest, Jennet Bancroft (Murray) of Milverton, Marion Mason (Bob) of Stayner, and Jummy (Sandra) of Dunnville. Predeceased by her daughter Starr, her sons Charlie and Barry, her son-in-law Wayne Carswell, her sister Joyce, her brother Johnny Young and her grandson John Ferguson. Fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews. Betty’s family will receive relative and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. A Funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev. Jennifer Canning officiating. Cremation will follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
