At the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, Ottawa, on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Ronald Peters, age 75, was the beloved husband of the late June (Hall) Peters (1989), and the late Marlene (Buchanan) Peters (March 2013). Loved father of Mark Peters of Newmarket. Loving grandfather of Alexa. Brother of Jeff of London, Bob of Napanee, Marilyn of Hamilton, and Audrey of Sundridge. Ronald was a former employee of the de Havilland Aircraft Company, and a Armed Forces Veteran of Peacetime Service for over 30 years. Ronald was also a faithful volunteer with Community Care North Hastings, and will be missed by many friends. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Celebration of Ron’s Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 624 (1007 Burleigh Road, Wilberforce), on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
