Peacefully, at the Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Monday, November 18, 2013. Peter was born in Vienna Austria on September 22, 1942. He trained as a Master Baker in Austria and Montreal. Throughout his career, Peter owned and operated several successful bakeries, including Keswick Home Bakery in Keswick and Old Times Bakery in Bancroft. Peter leaves behind his daughter Christina (Lisa) and was predeceased by his son Peter John-Scheder Jr. The family wishes to thank the nurses and home care providers who provided such excellent care these past few months. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Gathering to Celebrate Peter’s Life will be held at Zehr’s Deli and Bakery (61 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Princess Margaret Foundation or to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
