At the Haliburton Highlands Health Centre, Haliburton, on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Dorothy Rivers, age 82, was the beloved wife of Sam Rivers of Tory Hill. Loving mother of Susan Ellison (Larry) of Tory Hill, Virginia Rivers of Bancroft, and Tom Rivers of Tory Hill. Loved grandmother of Andy Rivers, James Cronk, and Elliotte Cronk (Amber). Great-grandmother of Violete Kane and Dakota Rivers-Abbott. Sister and Sister-in-law of Ernie Peck (Linda), Betty Davis and Mary Peck. Predeceased by her parents William and Gladys (Cooper) Peck and her brother Harold. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Harcourt Community Chapel, Harcourt, on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Hughes officiating. Cremation to follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Harcourt Community Chapel or Gideons would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
