Peacefully, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Barry’s Bay, on Monday, May 13, 2013. Anne Richards, age 80 of Whitney, was the beloved wife of the late Bert Richards (2004) and the late Gary Cannon (1996). Loved mother of Paul Cannon (Debbie) of Whitney, David Cannon (Julia) of Barry’s Bay, and Sandra August (Brian) of Whitney. Loved step-mother of Diane Richards of Vancouver and Dean Richards (Brenda) of Whitby. Loved grandmother of Patrick (Tracy), Becky (Tim), Sarah (Bradley), Christopher (Hilary), Marsha (John), Joshua, James (Carolyn), Jeffery, Tess, and Kate. Great-grandmother of Austin, Abby, Kensley, Brooke, Cassidy, Chloe, Oliver and Katrina (b. July 13/13). Loved sister and sister-in-law of Donald Cohoon (Betty) of Victoria, Margaret McVean (Alex) of Brighton, Dorothy Smoke of London, Robert Cohoon (Pat) of Dorchester, Robert Cannon of Whitney, Doreen Maitland (Glen) of Alberta and Patsy Cannon of Barry’s Bay. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Larry Smoke, sisters-in-law Elaine Cannon, and Gwen Tait (Jack). Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Celebration of Anne’s Life will take place at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Brian August (33 August Lane, east of Whitney along Hwy 60) on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation Hospice Palliative Care Fund or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
