Line, Douglas Anthony

Suddenly, at his home in Bancroft, on Sunday, April 28, 2013.  Doug has gone with the Great Spirit to his house of many rooms.   We know he will forgive him his sins and offer eternal peace.  Remembered with love by his father and stepmother Paul (Bud) & Sue Line, sisters Tracey (Paul Dawson), Cathy Line, niece Anna Hockley and many cousins and many, many friends.   Doug was predeceased by his mother Annette Kotowick (Line) Burns.  A native service was be held at the Markham Legion on Thursday May 9th, 2013 at 1 p.m.  A time of food and fellowship  followed service. Doug’s great passion was fishing.  And what a fisherman he was!  He was proud and grateful for the time he spent working as a fishing guide in the North West Territories.  He had some of the best fishing stories you ever heard.  Doug was an outdoorsman and loved to be out on the water with a rod in one hand, a beer in the other and a fishing buddy by his side.  If there is a final fishing hole, Doug is there.    He will be sadly missed.    He is at peace.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter  in Doug's memory and that of his beloved dogs, Louie and Stella. Gone too soon.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
