Peacefully, at his home on Eels Lake, on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Alan Sproat, age 81, was the beloved husband of Anne Sproat (Merritt). Loved father of Dave Sproat (Olivera) of Guelph, and Terry (Fred) Jongeling of Hamilton. Loving grandfather of Caitlin, Jackson and Katie. Brother and brother-in-law of Norma King (Gary), Pat Brown (Bruce) and Fred Merritt (Sherry). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
