Peacefully, at The Ottawa General Hospital, on Saturday, April 06, 2013, Joan Parks, age 66, of Whitney, was the beloved wife of the late Bert Parks (2003). Loving mother of James Parks of Alberta, Terry Parks of Whitney, and Janet Cox (Sean) of Cardiff. Grandmother of Stephanie, Brandy, Josh, Hailey, Jenadine, Stacy, Sean Jr., Chantel and Tabatha. Great-grandmother of 3. Sister of Joyce, Jerry, Merv, Ken and Sam. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Memorial Service for Joan will take place at a later date. Interment of Joan’s Ashes in Union Cemetery, Whitney, in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
