Deborah Swanson of Hastings Highlands, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Frederick, daughters; Danielle Sweeney (Jake Wen) of Orangeville, Courtney Sweeney (John Gallagher) of Moncton N.B., Amanda Sweeney (Adrian Hyde) of Hamilton, her son Spencer Swanson at home, and her grandchildren Paige, Lucas, Gabriel and Leo. Deborah is also survived by her beloved sisters Patricia (Norman) Groshek and Paula (Patrick) Flanigan all of Flushing, Michigan. Fondly remembered by family in Michigan and Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Mary Norko of Flint Michigan and son Evan John Swanson. Deborah was a proud volunteer at the Heritage Shoppe in Bancroft. She took great joy in her friends and co-workers. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
