Peacefully, at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, on Friday, January 18, 2013.John (Jack) Mercer, age 80, leaves behind his loving wife Anne McCool, his daughter Sharon Paul of Innisfil Beach, and his son Gary Mercer of Port Hope. Predeceased, by his son Todd Mercer. He will be sadly missed by his step-son Evan Entwistle and his wife Bianca of Halifax, his step-daughter Kristin Entwistle of Saskatoon, and by his seven grandchildren; Matthew, Eric, and Gary Paul, Derek and Kelly Mercer. And the two little guys Finn and Sabastian Entwistle. Brother-in-law of Doug (Penny), Ray (Bonnie), Phillip (Diane) and Ron (Pat). Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. Jack’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Lake St. Peter Community Centre (Hwy #127 and Mink Lake Rd., Lake St. Peter) on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike West officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
