After a very short illness, we lost a loved husband, father, grandfather and best friend. Peacefully, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Barry’s Bay, on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Johannes Tiemes, age 81, of Boulter Lake, was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Scheibel) Tiemes. Loved father of Erna Tiemes of Whitby, Ron Tiemes (Joanne) of Bancroft, Rudy Tiemes (Denise) of Oshawa, and Joey Tiemes (Faye) of Rainy River. Loved step-father of Lydia Vinet (Terry) of St. Thomas, Romy Pfulb (Charlie) of Germany, Monika Van Ooteghem (Dave) of Port Elgin and Sonja Klein (Darren) of North Bay. Loving grandfather of Bobby (Katie), Tina, Shannon, Nicole, Kim, Jamie, Mike, Rachel, Spencer, Danielle, Christopher, Ben, Tina, Marco, Leah, and Tasha. Great-grandfather of Emilie, Isobel, Samy, Leila, Erika and Lucmya. Brother-in-law of Ursula Gayard (Chris) of france, and Inga Kastenmeir (Franz) of Austria. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Johannes was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan, and fisherman. Johannes’ family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jennifer Canning officiating. Cremation will follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
