Peacefully, at Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Friday, June 22, 2012. Ella Sharkey, age 92, was the beloved wife of the late Lorne Sharkey. Daughter of the late Thomas and Francis Annan of Pickering. Loved sister of Margaret (Peg) Scott of Ajax, and the late Andrew, Jean, Donald, Muriel and Dorothy. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and Allan Curran and family. Ella was a bank manager with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce for many years. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. Ella’s family will receive relatives and friends at Pickering Village United Church (300 Church St. N., Ajax) on Friday, July 06, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Ella’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment, Erskine Cemetery, Pickering. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Alzheimer Society, or Hastings Centennial Manor would be appreciated by the family.
