Peacefully, at Bethell House, Hospice Caledon, in Inglewood, on Friday, September 09, 2011. Patrick August, age 77, of Whitney, was the beloved husband of the late Luella Teresa (Luckasavitch) August (2008). Loving father of Cheryl (David) McNickle of Bolton, and Paul August (Julianne) of Orangeville. Loved grandfather of Kyle, Matthew, Mark and David. Brother and brother-in-law to Eugene, Gerald (Gail), Garry (Carol Ann), Joan (Garry), Dorthea and Gwen (Karl). Predeceased by a brother-in-law Romeo, and a sister-in-law Beatrice. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Patrick formerly lived in Bolton, and was employed with Ontario Hydro for over 38 years. Pat will be fondly remembered for all his hard efforts in the design and building of the Whitney Seniors Centre. Pat was blessed with many talents such as carpentry, cabinet making and rebuilding vehicles. He was a great problem solver, taking any challenge he faced and finding a creative solution. He had a love for the outdoors and would often enjoy long walks on his farm. Patrick’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (Post St., Whitney) on Monday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jim Beanish Officiating. Internment, at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
