Peacefully, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, on Monday, January 10, 2011. Sharon (LaLiberty) Jones age 67, was the beloved wife of almost 30 years to Garnet Jones of Cardiff. Loving mother of Annemarie McHale (Mike0 of Renfrew, Shelly Smith (Ken) of Hamilton, Jarrett Eden of Alliston, Michael Jones (Kathy) of Caledon, Rodney Jones (Marianna) of Caledon. Loved grandmother of Adam (Kelly), Emily, William, and Claire. Daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Connor) LaLiberty. Sister of Donna Lagare (Gerry) and Cathy Mason all of Scarborough. Predeceased by her brother Francis. Sharon retired from the Ministry of Health after 25 years of service, and was a 39 year member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 566 Cardiff, a member of the Cardiff Community Club, and a member of the Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed carpet bowling, a game of cards, a good book, and liked camping in her RV. Sharon loved her 120 lb. black lab “Coal”, and she used to call him mummies little man. At Sharon’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Memorial Service will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 566 Cardiff at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Poppy Fund c/o Cardiff Legion Branch #566, or to Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
