Peacefully, at her home in Bancroft, with her family by her side, on Thursday, December 23, 2010. Kalen Covert, age 62, was the beloved mother of Jack Burke (Gayle), Ken Burke (Sheila), Cheryl Whiteman, Rick Burke (Kim), Pat Burke (Megan) and Kim Burke (Joe). Loving grandmother of Rebecca, Josh, Dan, Miranda, Jared, Carter, Trayton, Danika and Camden. Sister of Stead Covert (Jean), Tom Covert (Helen), Luella Smith, and Joe Covert (Pat). Predeceased by her brother Jim. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Kalen’s family will receive relatives and friends at the L’Amable Bible Chapel (Hwy 62S., L’Amable) on Friday, December 24, 2010 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gerry Libby officiating. Interment, Deer Lake Cemetery, Highland Grove, in the spring of 2011. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
