Peacefully, at Caressant Care, Marmora, on Friday, October 29, 2010. Vivian Boomhour, age 81, was the beloved wife of the late Edward Earl Boomhour (1986). Loved mother of Sharon and Jim Gruntz of Gilmour. Grandmother of Eddie and Tammy Boomhour, of Gooderham, Sharrie and Neil Keller of Gilmour, Jon Gruntz and Patricia Brown of Tweed. Daughter of the late Archie and Ethel (Palmateer) Helm. Sister of Stub Helm, of Gilmour, Thelma and Basil Park, of Ormsby, Ina and Pascoe O’Hara, of Ormsby, Viola Marack of Shannonville, Johnie Helm of Havelock, Melville Pettipher, Jimmy and Laurie McGawey, Bonnie and Kayle Satamo of Millbridge and Brenda and Allon Davidson of Alberta. Predeceased by sisters Lila Boomhour, and Lela Higgins. Survived by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Charlene Boomhour. Vivian’s family will receive relatives and friends at the L’Amable Bible Chapel (Hwy 62S. L’Amable), on Monday, November 01, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Garry Robinson officiating. Interment, St. Andrew’s United Cemetery, Coe Hill. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings, Canadian Cancer Society, or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
