Peacefully, at her home in Maynooth, with her family at her side, on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Karen Ibbitson, age 61, was the loving partner for 25 years of Jennifer Doole of Maynooth. Loved mother of Jessica Anderson and her husband Derek, and Timothy Ibbitson and his wife Mette. Loved grandmother of Tyler, Isabella, Ava and Lindsay. Loving daughter of Ruth (Fessler) Shaw of Yorkton, Sask. and loved sister of The Honourable Mr. Justice Doug Shaw and his wife Leslie of Thunder Bay. Fondly remembered, by her nieces Nancy, Susan and Elizabeth, and her nephew David. At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Karen’s Life, will take place at The Village Playhouse (5 Hastings St. S., Bancroft) on Saturday, November 06, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev Lynn Watson officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to H.A.R.T. (Highlands Animal Relief Team) or Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
