Peacefully, at the Valley Manor, Barry’s Bay, on Sunday, January 17, 2009. James McGuey, age 87, was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Hyland) McGuey (2001). Loving father of Wayne Giffin (Shirley) of Combermere, Carolyn Mochulla (Richard), Anita Boldt (Gilbert), Reina Fuller (Danny) all of Whitney, and Rebecca Sears (Dwayne) of Bancroft. Predeceased by his son Kendall. Loved grandfather of Calvin, Mellissa, Daryl, Dana, Shane, Travis, Brittany, Brooke, Wayatt and Sarah. Great-grandfather of Dorian, Logan, Jadyn, Alexandria, Calen, Kendall, Jorja, Jordan and Laci. Great-great grandfather of Moira. Brother of Isobel Larochelle of Whitney. Fondly remembered by Gail Yantha and by many nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Anthony Anglican Church, Whitney, on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Lakefield Crematorium.
