Peacefully, at the Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the age of 81. Edna Bland of Bancroft, was the wife of the late Raymond Bland of Toronto and the late Ronald Morrell of Texas. Loved mother of Sharon Morrell (Herb Urban) of Lake St. Peter. Loving Nanny of Amber Olmstead and her husband Doug of Maple Leaf and grandmother of David Shepley and his wife Sue of Kitchener. Loved Nanny of Owen, Noah, and Drew Olmstead and Megan Shepley. Predeceased by her brother Bob Hughes and his wife Marg. Aunt of Rob Hughes. Loving companion of her cat Peanuts. Edna lived at the Riverside Chateau for 16 years and fondly remembered by many friends, and by everyone she knitted newborn baby outfits for. At Edna’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium, with interment of cremated remains in Emmanuel Cemetery, Maynooth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to H.A.R.T. (Highland Animal Relief Team) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
