Peacefully, at the Caressant Care Nursing Home, Marmora, on Thursday, June 25, 2009. June Reid, age 78, was the beloved wife of the late Edwin (Ted) Reid. Loving mother of Joseph Reid and his wife Lyla, of Maple Leaf, and Karen Smith and her husband Darren of Peterborough. Grandmother of Gerald and Stephen, and great-grandmother of Kailey. Predeceased by her sisters “Micky” Wright, Hazel Grimson and Gloria Leveque. Survived by sisters-in-law Doris Turski, Myrtle Spraque and brother-in-law Lawrence Leveque. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. At June’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. A Graveside Interment Service of Ashes will take place at Emmanuel Cemetery, Maple Leaf, on Wednesday, July 01, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
