Finally at peace. Brock passed away peacefully at his home in Bancroft surrounded by his loving family on November 2, 2023 - one day shy of his 85th birthday. Cherished husband of Brenda (nee Bryce) of 45 years. Loving father of Laura Todd (Richard) and Stephen. Beloved papa to Erica and Andrew Todd. Dear brother in law to Donna and Willy Gorda and Robyn Kent. Prized uncle to Michelle (Shawn) and Jennifer (Ray) and Kyle (Christine). Brock will also be dearly missed by his many treasured cousins both near and far. The family would like to thank the incredible doctors, nurses and personal support workers of the Bancroft and surrounding communities for the compassionate care and kindness given to Brock and his family. Visitation took place at SMITH’S funeral home, 485 Brant St. (One block north of city hall), Burlington (905 632-3333) on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 3 to 6 pm. A service of remembrance was held in the chapel (same address) on Monday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m.. Reception followed. If desired, expressions of sympathy made to the North Hastings Hospital at www.nhhfd.ca would be greatly appreciated by the family. A Celebration of Life will be held in Brock’s beloved Bancroft on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Cardiff Legion Branch 566, 2733 Monck Rd, Cardiff, ON K0L 1M0.
