With sadness, we share the passing of Donald (Don) Scott, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in his 98^th year, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft.  Donald, beloved husband to the late Muriel (Annan).  Father to the late Tom Scott (Susan), JoAnn Cox (Fred), and Kelly Scott (Joyce).Grandfather to Rob (Jacqui), Jennifer (Dave), Kyle (Heather), Warren (Laura), Shawn (Lindsey), and Michael (Nicole).  Great-grandfather Kylie, Joelle, Ivy, Weston, and Wrenley.  Brother to Bette Thompson, Harry Scott, Donna Sharman, and the late Robert (Bob) Scott, Muriel Dingley, and Audrey Warren.  Don was raised in Pickering Village.  He served his country in the Second World War.  He worked in road construction all his life.  Later retired to their cottage home with his wife Min, in Coe Hill on Wollaston Lake.  He enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Coe Hill Legion.  Don will be truly missed by his family and friends.  A special thanks to all the doctors and nurses that took great care of him in his time of need.  Please join Don’s family at St. Andrew’s United Church (47 Wollaston Lake Road, Coe Hill), on Saturday, October 21, 2023, for a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  A luncheon will follow at The Royal Canadian Legion, Br#581 (2254 Hwy620, Coe Hill).  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Back the Cat – North Hastings Hospital Fund Development would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
