Pieter Nicolas Der Kinderen passed away Monday, August 14th surrounded by family at Bancroft Hospital. Beloved husband to Erna…”My dearest darling, I love you now and forever. You will always be in my heart remembering our 66 incredible years of marriage together and the life we created. Wait for me at heaven’s gate my love where we will walk together again.” You will be missed by our children Eddy, Carmen, Peter (Zoey), Jeff and Jennifer (Mike). Loved by our 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Pieter was born on August 30, 1929 in Haarlem, Holland. He traveled the world as a merchant seaman until he found the love of his life in Germany. They immigrated to Toronto eventually moving to Bancroft in 1974 where Pieter built a home, enjoyed small town life, friends and family.
