At the Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Friday, April 17, 2009. Robert McNalty, age 87, of Maple Leaf, was the beloved husband of the late Audrey Lillian (Gillam) McNalty (1994). Loving father of Norman McNalty (Gail), of Maple Leaf, and Paul McNalty (Faye), of Peterborough. Loved grandfather of Shawn, Sue Ann, Shannon, John, Marie, Sherry, Robert, Patricia, Richard, and Jody. Great-grandfather of 22, and great-great-grandfather of 7. Predeceased by his son Robert (1998). Robert was a veteran of World War II, and was wounded in action twice during his military career. Robert also worked for the Toronto Transit Commission, and owned his own roofing company. Robert was also the President of the ANAF Unit 378, in Maynooth. He will be fondly missed by many friends. Robert’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth) on Wednesday evening 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Robert will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., with The Rev. Tim Maindonald officiating. Cremation will follow with the interment of Robert’s ashes at Emmanuel Cemetery, Maynooth.
