Peacefully, at the Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Leona Sovie, age 60, was the loved mother of Matthew Sovie and his wife Cheryl, and Denise Lindley and her husband Frank. Loved grandmother of Brandon Armstrong and Macy Radford. Loved sister of Marjorie, Mayme, Millie, Trueman, Mary Lou, Phillip and Jane. Predeceased by sister her Beverley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Leona’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth) on Friday December 19, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Leona will follow at 4:00 p.m. with The Rev. Tim Maindonald officiating. Cremation to follow, at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
