Passed away suddenly at his residence in Maynooth, on Thursday, May 07, 2020 in his 72nd year. Loving husband of 48 years to Carol (nee Scott). Cherished Father of Scott and his wife Melissa, Kelly, Andria and her partner Matthew, and Heather and her husband Jonathan. Proud grandfather of Thomas, Hayden, Sarah, Lillian, Scarlett, Autumn and Cameron. Tim is survived by his brother Dr. Kevin Maindonald. Predeceased by his parents Thomas & Norma and his aunt Verna. Graduate of Waterloo Lutheran University and Trinity College. Tim was ordained into the Anglican Church of Canada in 1974 and joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1975. Padre Tim served his country for a total of 28 years with his military brethren in Victoria, Cornwallis, Lahr, Petawawa, Trenton, Ottawa and Winnipeg culminating with his final position of Chaplain General. Upon his retirement from active service, Father Tim worked in the parish of North Hastings serving his community at the Anglican Churches of Holy Trinity, St. John’s and St. Michael’s for nearly 10 years before retiring in 2013. A gentleman and a gentle man….. A private family visitation has taken place followed by cremation. A Memorial service will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the parishes of North Hastings Anglican Churches, Hospital for Sick Children’s Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life would be appreciated by the family.
