Peacefully, at the Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Earl Shields, in his 72nd year, was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Cullen) Shields. Dear brother of the late Allan, Clayton, Gordon and Robert. Survived by his nieces Sharon (Gordon) MacDonald of Bancroft, and Marilyn (Gordon) Hoard of Coe Hill. Fondly remembered by Milly and Don Simpson and family of Maynooth. Earl’s Family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home, 200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth on Tuesday evening 7 – 9 p.m. and on Wednesday 10 – 11 a.m. A Funeral Service for Earl will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Dr. Kent Clayton officiating. Cremation to follow, with spring interment of Ashes at Grace Cemetery, Maynooth. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bancroft Centennial Manor would be appreciated by the family.
