Godfrey, Rodger (born Van Dusen) went to be with Jesus suddenly at North Hastings Hospital on Jan. 29, 2011 at the age of 47. Best friend and beloved husband of Shelley. Wonderful father to Ben, Nathan, (Belleville) Serena (Ottawa) Dillon (Oshawa) and surrogate father to many. Only child of Gayle Godfrey and oldest son of the late Arthur Garry Van Dusen. Brother to Sherry Hilhorst (Dave), Jeff & Michael Van Dusen (Kingston) Veronica Brown & Ivan Tutton (Margret) (both of B.C.) and Cameron Van Dusen (wife) (Winnipeg). Predeceased by all grandparents. Cremation has taken place at Lakefield Crematorium. Rodger’s family will receive relatives and friends at the L’Amable Bible Chapel (Hwy 62S., L’Amable), on Saturday, February 05, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to one of the following; university education trust fund for son Dillon, Lions Foundation of Canada - Canine Vision Guide Dogs, or Cardiology Equipment for North Hastings Hospital.
