Peacefully, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough, on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Lino Berani, age 76, formerly of Whitney, was the loving father of Robert Macdonald and his wife Margaret of Toronto, Michelle Berani and her husband Shaun Williams of Peterborough, and Vincent Berani of Toronto. Loved grandfather of Malcolm, Alexander and Nicholas. Fondly remembered by many friends. Lino was the former owner/operator of the Algonquin Motel in Whitney. Lino’s family will receive relatives and friends at Smith Post Memorial United Church (Hwy#60 and Paradise Rd., Whitney), on Tuesday evening 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jennifer Canning officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Whitney. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
