Suddenly, at his home in Hardwood Lake doing what he loved doing, cutting wood with his 4-wheeler and his dog, on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Reginald Liedtke, age 76, was the beloved husband of 56 years to his lifelong sweetheart Donna (Weichenthal) Liedtke. Loving and cherished father to Jackie Gutz and her husband Raymond. Loving grandfather of Jocelyn (Ashton), Kelby (Katie), Lyndon (Paige), and Julia (Joey). Great-grandfather of Galilee, Ezekiel, and Levi. Predeceased by his daughter Terri. Brother of Maxine (John) Soules and Arlene (Allen) Madigan. Brother-in-law of Darwin Weichenthal (Gayle), Jean Weichenthal (Ray), Delwin Weichenthal, Sherry Aide (Wayne), and Wayne Jamieson. Predeceased by his sisters Yvonne and Bertha, and his brother Ken. Reg is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends for his loving heart, his big smile, and that twinkle in his eyes. We will all miss his jokes, stories and how he cared and looked after us, doing anything to help those he loved. Reginald’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church (786 Schutt Road, Schutt) on Friday, October 09, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Liedtke officiating. Interment St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, Schutt. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, or to Graphite Bible Camp, would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
