Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the age of 62. Teresa Young of Bowmanville, born and raised in Hermon, Ontario, Teresa was a devoted and loving mother to Lyndsey (Shawn), Melinda (Mitchell), and Dustin (Megan). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Myles, Noah, and Wyatt, who brought her a sense of pride and joy. Teresa was the beloved sister of Bonnie (Fred), Sharon (Cameron), Wayne (Judy), and Rhonda (Ron). She was predeceased by her loving parents, George and Marguerite Young, and brother Kevin. Teresa will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and deep love for her family. She treasured time spent with those she loved most, and her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle, (311 Hastings Street North, Bancroft), on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 pm, officiated by Rev. David Watson. A reception will follow the service at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle. Interment will follow at Hermon United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society-Relay for Life would be greatly appreciated by the family.
