It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kyle Cecil Switzer, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 77. Kyle was born on October 6, 1948, and was a longtime resident of Bancroft, Ontario.

Kyle will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary-Lou; his children, Rose Lynn (Graham), Dean (Cindy), and Janice; his stepchildren, David and Sherry; and his cherished grandchildren, Nathan (Rachel), Dorétie, Kolby, Mya, Makenzie, Nicholas, and Caitlynn.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Jean and Donna, and is survived by his sister, Ramona. Kyle will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, his adopted family, countless friends, and his faithful fur companion, Jesse.

A skilled carpenter and gifted woodworker, Kyle's passion was wood. Known affectionately as a "wood whisperer," he possessed a remarkable talent for transforming raw lumber into beautiful works of craftsmanship. To those who knew him, it often seemed there was nothing he couldn't create with wood. His creativity, dedication, and attention to detail were evident in every project he undertook, leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations.

Kyle's warmth, sense of humor, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many. He built not only with wood, but also with kindness, creating lasting friendships and treasured memories along the way.

Though he will be deeply missed, Kyle's spirit lives on in the family he loved, the friends he cherished, and the beautiful craftsmanship that stands as a testament to his life's passion.

Forever remembered, forever loved, and forever missed.

Cremation has taken place.  In keeping with Kyle’s wishes there will not be a service.
