It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Simpson announces his passing. Born on December 17, 1940, Gord passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lois Simpson.   Gord was the son of the late George and Mae Simpson, and brother to the late Arn (Shirley), Elmer, Tom, and Herb. He is survived by his loving sister Betty (late Gary), and his sisters-in-law Bonnie, and Kay.  Gord was a devoted father to Rick, April (and family), Dennis (Bernice), Randy (Nancy), Dewayne (Sherry), Terry (Holly), and Jerry (Robin). He was a proud grandfather to Tanya, Blair, Gordie, Megan, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Peyton, Jillena, Ethan, Brydon, and Mariah, and a cherished great-grandfather to Mariah, Kevin, and Finnley.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Kingston General Hospital, the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Providence Care Hospice (A.B. Smith Homestead House), and all who supported Gord and his family during his final days. Gord enjoyed the outdoors—especially hunting, fishing, and camping—and could always be found sharing stories and laughter at the Jamborees with family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.  Cremation has taken place.  A private ceremony will be held with immediate family members, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society – Relay for Life would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
