February 27, 1953 – August 28, 2025 Peter Ohlschlager, age 72 was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada at the age of 12 years. The family settled in the Dundas and Hamilton area. It was here he married and started a family. They later moved to Lake St. Peter where he built his home and has resided there since. Fulfilling his love for fishing and success earned him the nickname “Pickerel Pete.” He was an avid hunter and told the story of how he shot two deer with one shot. Peter is dearly remembered by his spouse Elaine, children Obeline, Michael, Kelly (Dwayne) and grand children Nathan, Asha (Kyle), and Mackenzie. He was very much looking forward to meeting his great grandson Jackson Peter Linkie. Peter passed restfully at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital Thursday, August 28, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake St. Peter Community Centre (5 Boulter Lake Rd., Lake St. Peter, ON) on September 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
