Peacefully, at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Friday, November 06, 2009. Tillie Cameron, age 66, of Whitney, was the beloved wife of Maurice Cameron for 37 years. Loved mother of Edna Potter and her husband Vincent of Mississauga, and Lois Haighton and her husband Andrew of Brampton. Loving grandmother of Courtney Potter and Amethyst, Emerald, Topaz and Jasper Haighton. Dear sister of Michael Frederick Jr. and his wife Rosaline of Whitney, and sister-in-law of Debbie Charlebois and her husband Guy of Apple Hill. Aunt to Shelley and Duane Frederick of Whitney and Michael Charlebois of Moose Creek, and great-aunt to Ashton. Predeceased by her parents Michael Frederick Sr. and Mae (Nicholas) Frederick. Special thanks to Dr. Jonker and all the staff at the Cancer Centre at the Ottawa General Hospital. To Jo and Ed Lentz and all the cancer drivers, and to Donny Cole a special friend. Tillie was employed in Algonquin Park for many years, loved her family, her garden, reading, playing cards and her visits to the casino. She had a very positive and determined attitude to the very end. Tillie’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (Post St., Whitney) on Monday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Maurice Grime’s Cancer Lodge in Ottawa or Mass Cards would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
