Peacefully, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, Pembroke, on Sunday, July 06, 2025. George Lightbody age 79 of Whitney, was the beloved husband of Maxine (Dyack) Lightbody. Loving father of Michael (Marilia), Gabriel, and Cynthia (Terry). Loved grandfather of Aidan and the late Keith. Son of the late Hugh Sr. and Pearl (Abbott) Lightbody. Survived by his brother Hugh Jr. and predeceased by his sister Eleanor. As per George’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank everyone at Marionhill Long Term Care in Pembroke and the I.C.U. Unit of Pembroke Regional Hospital.
