Peacefully, at the Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Victor Redwood, age 82, was the beloved husband of Catherine (O’Sullivan) Redwood of Bancroft. Loved father of Michael (Joanne), Douglas (Mary), and Geoff (Cathy). Step-father of Mark McGroggan (Kirsten). Loving grandfather of Michael, Elisabeth, Andrew, James, Stephen, Rebekah, Scott, Brian, Nathan, Sara, Connor and Mackenna. Brother of Daphne (Tyler), and brother-in-law of Patrick Sullivan (Irene), Maureen Schultes, Bridgit Kofkin, Eileen Grupp and Johanna O’Flaherty. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his step-son Hugh Thomas McGroggan. Victor was a teacher of Drafting at Centennial College in Scarborough, and an employee draftsman when the Avro-Arrow was being developed and engineered. A private family gathering took place, followed by cremation at Lakefield Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation, Alzheimer Society or Canadian Feed the Children Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
