It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Barry James Cross at Quinte Health Care North Hasting Hospital in Bancroft Ontario on Thursday, April 10, 2025 in his 81st year. Born May 25, 1944. Barry will be deeply missed and was the beloved husband of Janet (Desjardins) Cross and proud father of Michael Cross (Kerry) of Buckhorn. Barry will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ethan, Alyssa and Nathan and dear cousins Sandra and Gail. Son of the late Robert and Dorothy Cross and brother of the late Robert and Tom. Brother-in-law of Francois (Donna), Beatrice (Jim), Irene, Albert (Chris) and Anita. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends and neighbours. Barry was a proud member of the Bancroft Masonic Lodge 482 for more than 25 years. Barry was an advent Shriner and was Shriner of the year in 2022. Barry was in charge of the ATV unit and loved being in the parades. Barry enjoyed spending time with family, camping and sitting around the campfires. As per Barry's wishes there will be a celebration of life to follow at a later date. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Shriners Hospital for Children (1003 Decarie Blvd, Montreal, Quebec H4A0A9) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
