Peacefully, at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, ON, Karen Marie Gillen passed away on March 27, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin Wodzak (Tasha), Lynn Wodzak (John) and Stacy McCaskie (Jason), as well as her grandchildren Jared, Carly, Jack, Jayden, Wynetta and Oakley. Karen was predeceased by her parents Ormond and Amy (Turner) Gillen and her two brothers, her twin Anthony Gillen and Sean Gillen. She is survived by siblings, Paul Gillen, Jim Gillen (late - Georgina), and Ann Gillen and she will be missed by her nieces and nephews and many friends. Karen was born in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Ontario when she was 18 yrs old. Karen enjoyed baseball, bowling, swimming, darts and was a bit of a card shark, she loved a good game of Euchre. She also loved dogs, specifically her two late furbabies, Snuggles and Sassy. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Ignatius Martyr Church, 51 Hwy #127, Maynooth, Ontario on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, Ontario, who provided fantastic care to Karen during her last days or Pulmonary & Cardiac Rehab Centre of Lindsay Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario.
