Peacefully, at Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Sunday, February 16, 2025.  Pearl Ray, age 98, was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd William Ray (1995).  Loving mother of Yvonne Arbuthnot of Minden, Sherie Bierworth (Vaughn) of Bancroft, and Marie Cooney of Bancroft.  Loved grandmother of Dwayne, Jill, Scott, Sharlene, Heather and Vincent, and her great-grandchildren Tyler, Spencer, Seinna, Brittney, Kevin, Chloe, Lacey, Norah, and Sophia.  Predeceased by her two sons Orland (1973) and Donald (2024), and her sons-in-law Allen and Edward. Pearl was a homemaker with the Red Cross and VON for many years, a proud legion member for over 40 years,  and loved to volunteer and play bingo.  To say that her generous and kind spirit will be missed is an understatement.  While this loss leaves an unfillable space in our hearts, she leaves us with unforgettable memories and a legacy that could never be matched.  Rest with the angels Mom.  Pearl’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Bible Chapel (106 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Jim Mitchell officiating.  Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Bancroft in the spring.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Ladies Auxiliary at Hastings Centennial Manor would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
