Jacqueline Stubbs (nee FitzPatrick) wife of the late Bernie Stubbs Jr. of Whitney. Passed away after a lengthy illness on September 29, 2024 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. Daughter of the late Thomas and Mary FitzPatrick. Mother of Lori Switzer, Cory (Liz), Cathy (Phil) Chapeskie. Nana of Mark Switzer Jr., Cody Kuiack, and Alexandria Stubbs. Great-Nana to Shyann, Lakota, Gracie, Rosalee, Chase, Hudson, Caleb, Markie and Ellie May. Great-great-Nana to Zenon. She was predeceased by son-in-law Mark Switzer, granddaughter Ashlee Switzer and great-grandson Anthony Jr. She leaves behind siblings TJ (Martha) FitzPatrick, Betty Mason, Zita Hughes and in-laws Sue FitzPatrick, Ethel LaValley, Leona Stubbs and Paul Stubbs. Family will receive friends and relatives at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish, 41 Post St., Whitney, ON, on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Parish on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12 noon with Father Jim Beemish presiding. Cremation will follow with interment at St. Martin of Tours McCoy Lake Cemetery at a later date. Jackie was an active member of the St. Martin of Tours Church in Whitney and could often be seen volunteering in the kitchen at many events. She loved to bake and was always quick to help when called upon until her health no longer allowed it. She will be missed greatly by her close friends, Karen, Madge, Caroline, Viola, Ursula, Camilla’s four daughters, and her many nieces and nephews.
