Lentz, Norman John |
Peacefully at Hastings Centennial Manor on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Norman was married to Kim Mantifel in February 1989. He was the most loving and kind stepfather to Natasha and Dylan (Wife Sarah). His greatest joys were his grandchildren, Maggie, Charlie and Johnny. Norman was predeceased by his first wife Carmel Klatt (September 1978). Carmel’s family always remained a special part of his life. Norman was born in Palmer Rapids on March 4th, 1933, and remained there until November 2021 when he then made Hastings Centennial Manor his home. Deeply committed to his community, Norman proudly served in municipal politics from 1967 to 2014. Norman was a millwright and farmed on his family’s farm until 2018. Norman will always be remembered for the wonderful life he gave to Kim, Natasha and Dylan. Go Rest High on that Mountain. A note from Dylan and Natasha We all knew this day would come; however, we did not realize how hard it would be when it did. Norman chose to be a father in every way that mattered, and we will miss him. We will be forever grateful, for the love he had for us, how he was there for us and how he took care of us; and then how we were able to give back that same love and care as he grew older. We love you Norman.
A Celebration of Norman’s Life will be held in the spring. Donations to the Hastings Centennial Manor would be appreciated. Condolence messages may be emailed to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or visit www.mgdalyfuneralhome.com.
