At her home in Maple Leaf, on Friday, August 23, 2024. Fern Hinze, age 81, was the beloved wife of Lorne Hinze. Loving mother of Laura Judd (Leonard) of Oshawa, and Nancy Green (Kevin) of Bowmanville. Loved grandmother of Dana Duran (Jaime) of Oshawa. Sister of Eileen Wasmund, Joyce (Everett) Bradley, Berna Davis, Lilly Casselman, and Jerry (Ann) Porath. Predeceased by her sister Joan. Sister-in-law of Marjorie Scott, Shirley Scott, Gordon Hinze, and Alan Hinze. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Iner, Orval, Tom, Perry, Ronald and Jack. Survived by her nieces, nephews and many friends. A Funeral Service will take place at Christ Lutheran Church (9 Lutheran Church Road, Maynooth) on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Randy Liedtke Officiating. Interment Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Maynooth, followed by a luncheon. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Christ Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
