Jean Marae Colwill (Overland) left this world to join the love of her life, Sheldon Colwill (deceased 1989), on July 25th,2024, in her 92nd year. Proud daughter of George Overland and Jenny (McGill), Jean was the last of the Overlands, from Hillsburgh, joining her siblings Donald, Frederick, Estella, and Gordon in eternal rest. Jean is survived by her five children: Timothy (Heather), Mark (Wendy), Stella, Andy, and Peter Colwill. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Melynda Hutchinson (Kelvin), Jennifer Hutchinson (Bradley), Justin, Mac, Brendon and Sheldon Colwill. Jean was treasured by her great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her GG: Ravyn, Loki and Link Hutchinson; Harrison and Tahlia Dafoe. She will be missed dearly by her loving niece Susan Hughson (Charlie) and her great-nephew Scott Hepburn. Jean served as a dedicated nurse at Guelph General Hospital for 40 years after graduating in 1954. Her compassion and care touched many lives throughout her career. In 1994, Jean relocated to Belleville with her daughter and grandson, where she spent the remainder of her days. The family extends a special thank you to the medical staff of Belleville General Hospital, Floor 6, and Quinte Hospice for making her final days peaceful and comfortable.
