It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Doug at Belleville General Hospital, on Monday, June 24, 2024, with his family by his side.  He was 91.  Beloved husband of Jean (Stapley) Baumhour for 71 years.  Loving father of Debbie Dobbs (late Bob) of Golden Valley, and Barry Baumhour (Marisa) of Niagara Falls.  Proud grandfather of Matthew Sobun (Bobbie) and Robin Uprichard (Brendon), and great-grandfather of 6.  Survived by his two sisters Pat Strong (Lloyd) and Linda Smith (late Derek).  Predeceased by his parents Sam and Ina Baumhour.  Doug will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.  Doug was born and raised in Bancroft.  He lived in Oshawa, raised a family, and had a career with Duplate.  He then retired to Bancroft with Jean. Doug enjoyed euchre, playing games and tinkering with cars and small motors.  He and Jean travelled and loved bus trips to the southern states.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held in the lounge at their apartment building (7 Aldersgate Drive, Belleville) on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Belleville General Hospital, ICU Department, would be greatly appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
