It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Marlene (Bolyea) Wells, who passed away at her home on June 8th. She was the first born to Norm and Agnes Bolyea in August 1940 and sibling to Bill, Nancy, Faye, Barry (pre-deceased), Debbie and Brenda.

Mom to Steven Wells (Janet Christie), Deanna Payne (Rod Payne) and Rodney Wells (Jain Parish) Grandma to her ‘Grands’ Jesse Payne (Meghan McDowell), Nikki Payne (Luke Aubin), Jake Wells (Sarah Wells) and Joe MacMullin (Chelsea MacMullin), and soon to be great grandma (‘GG’).  Married to Terry Wells (pre-deceased) and loving partner to Rolly Canning for many wonderful years. Marlene loved to cook and share her creations with everyone. Muffins, chili sauce, jams, gumdrop cakes and nanaimo bars were sent home with all that knew her. She will be keeping us warm and comforted for generations to come with her many quilts, a passion of hers over the past two decades. She was quick to laugh, sang a perfect happy birthday, loved her family with all her heart and loved her life in the bush with Rolly and the pups.
She is, and will be, greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Marlene’s life will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Couchiching Golf and Country Club on 370 Peter St. N. Orillia from 1 to 4 pm. Everyone is welcome. As expressions of sympathy, donations to your local S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to M.G.
