On Wednesday, July 01, 2009, at Brampton Woods, Brampton, with Robert, Donna, Debbie and Gaetan by her side. Hazel James (Lucas), in her 75th year, passed away peacefully after a struggle with Cancer. Beloved wife of the late Doug Lucas. Dear mother of Christina (Doug), Vanessa, and Mark, and her stepchildren Sharon (Al), Dave (Dale), Dwight (Patti), Don, and Robert (Donna). Dear sister to Robert Groves (Katherine), Gary Groves (Kathy), Larry Groves (Diana), Debbie (Groves) Barrette (Gaetan). Predeceased by her parents Robert and Euphemia (Murphy) Groves, and brother William Groves. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Hazel’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Rd., Maynooth) on Saturday July 11, 2009 from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
